The printed and electronic publications made available by the library are protected under the Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works, other relevant legislation, and the licensing agreements our university has with publishing houses.
Users are required to use books, journals, articles, e-books, databases, and other information resources in accordance with copyright laws and terms of use.
For electronic resources, the licensing conditions, download and sharing restrictions determined by the publishers must also be taken into consideration. In particular, systematically downloading all or a significant portion of the resources, extracting data in bulk using automated software/robots (scripts, crawlers, etc.), reproducing, distributing, or sharing with unauthorized persons is contrary to legislation and licensing agreements and, if detected, will lead to the restriction of the user's/institution's access rights.
The creation of photocopies or digital copies of printed resources must also comply with legal restrictions regarding copyright.
It is strongly emphasized that resources should only be used for personal, educational, and research purposes and within the usage limits determined by legislation.
The legal responsibility for any uses that violate copyright belongs to the user. Corporate user information defined for off-campus access (Proxy/VPN) is personal. Sharing this information with third parties constitutes a security and licensing breach.
