Dear EKUAL Members,
As you know, TÜBİTAK uses “WOS-JCR-JIF” values to determine whether journals comply with TÜBİTAK criteria in its open access agreements. The “JCR/2025 Quartile” values for journals listed in WOS were published over the past few days.
We are awaiting lists from the relevant publishers so that the “Funded Open Access Journal Lists,” which will include the “JCR/2025 Quartile” values valid through December 31, 2027, can be added to our page https://cabim.ulakbim.gov.tr/ekual/ekual-veritabanlari/. It may take some time for publishers to submit these lists. Therefore, until the new list is added to our website, the “Q” values of journals in submitted applications will be verified using both the JCR/2024 values on our website and the JCR/2025 values from the JCR database. Both lists will remain valid until December 31, 2026, and if there is a discrepancy in a journal’s “Q” value between the two lists, the higher value will be accepted.
To prevent any misunderstandings on the part of authors:
The “Funded AE Journal Lists” on the EKUAL website, which contain the JCR/2024 values, will remain valid until December 31, 2026; as of January 1, 2027, this list will become invalid and will be removed from our website. Article submissions received by the TÜBİTAK account on or after January 1, 2027, will be evaluated solely based on the JCR/2025 values mentioned below.
“Funded AE Journal Lists” containing the JCR/2025 values, which have not yet been added to the EKUAL website: Until these lists are added to our website, the “Q” values of the journals will be verified using the JCR database, and this list will remain valid until December 31, 2027.
We kindly request that you provide the necessary information to researchers at your institutions.
Best regards.
