Within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, a "Read & Publish" agreement covering the period 2026-2028 was signed with the Institute of Physics (IOP) publishing. The details and implementation principles of the agreement are presented below for your information:

TÜBİTAK AE Publication Support and Acceptance Criteria

The agreement is valid for three years, from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028.

Corresponding authors must meet the following criteria in order to have their articles published as AE without paying the Article Processing Fee (APC):

• Institutional Affiliation: The conformity of the article within the scope of the EKUAL agreement will be verified through the author's institutional name. Therefore, it is important to use e-mail addresses with @itu.edu.tr extension.
• The agreement includes publishing unlimited OA articles in both hybrid journals and fully gold open access journals.

Special Note: If APC support is given by mistake to any author mentioned in the TÜBİTAK AYEK Prohibited List or in the list of people whose "authority to practice their profession has been revoked or temporarily revoked" by the Ministry of Health, during the period of ban, or if an article for which APC support was given is withdrawn from publication, the responsible author or co-authors must notify ukg@ulakbim.gov.tr and the APC fee must be paid to ULAKBİM. Otherwise, ULAKBİM has the authority to collect the APC fee from the "corresponding author".
